Coal companies plan merger

Austral Coal and Centennial plan to merge in the near future.
Full details of the plan have not been released but Centennial Coal's half- year results include a reference to the merger.
Centennial said Austral shareholders will be offered 10 Centennial shares for every 37 Austral shares they own.
