Michael Mrdak takes senior DoTARS job

Michael Mrdak has been appointed deputy secretary to the Federal Department of Transport and Regional Services.

He will replace Lynelle Briggs, who became Australian public service commissioner in November 2004.

Peter Yuile is the other deputy secretary.
