Asian excess capacity `could ease crowding'

FOR all the talk of global port congestion, one area, suggests the regional head of transport for Smith Barney/ Citigroup, actually has hidden excess capacity.
Asia is efficient at getting its exports out, it is developed, Charles de Trenck told delegates, at TOC Asia 2005, whereas the US is a developing nation when it comes to imports.
