All hopes are pinned on the resolution of a year-long dispute at a meeting between union representatives and the Lyttelton port today.
The port company and the unions have been in battle against each other for more than a year over the port's use of part-time permanent staff.
Combined Unions advocate Paul Corliss said if the port comes to the party there...
