Profits put TT Club on course for a ratings lift
Leading insurer Through Transport Club has confounded critics by producing its biggest profit in history and setting itself on the road to a ratings upgrade.
The mutual, whose 1,000 members include almost all blue-chip container and ports operators, achieved a 2004 pre-tax profit of US$35.4m, up from US$9m in 2003.
Maritime giants in membership include the A P Mller group, P&O Ports and Hutchison Whampoa.
