TasPorts could sell Devonport Airport

No decision on the future of Devonport Airport would be made until mid-2009, once the asset had been valued, TasPorts said last week.

TasPorts has long said it wants to focus on its core function as a freight facilitator, prompting speculation that it was close to selling the airport.

The corporation sold Hobart Airport to a private consortium for about $350m last year.
