Ombudsman finds road transport slow on payments
Queensland's road transport industry has been found to be one of the worst performers in terms of meeting basic workplace laws.
A blitz by the Federal Workplace Ombudsman found that almost a third of Australian road transport businesses were not complying with workplace laws.
Almost $100,000 of underpayments were found to have occurred in Queensland's short-distance freight industry alone.
