The slow but relentless pace of the Australian class-action law suit against Qantas for freight cartel activity gained impetus last week with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) naming six past and present executives.

Kim Parker, principal lawyer at class action law firm Maurice Blackburn, ramped up pressure on the airline, saying the DoJ's action had made her job easier.
