International ship tracking requirements introduced

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has introduced long-range identification and tracking (LRIT) requirements that will apply to ships on international voyages.

LRIT regulations will apply to all passenger ships, including high-speed craft, cargo ships of more than 300 tonnes...
