New deal gets expansion plans back on the tracks
The backing of Japan's international trading house, Marubeni, will allow rail leasing firm CFLC Australia (CFLCA) to look at enlarging and diversifying its business, managing director Ian Gibbs said this week.
Marubeni and its Australian arm signed a deal last Friday with the Australian subsidiary of Chicago Freight Car Leasing Co to take a 49% stake in CFCLA's Rail Joint Venture (RJV) operation for an undisclosed sum.
