Pirates in two-day attack spree
Somali pirates last week added a second tanker to the vessel hijacked a previous night, bringing the number of piracy incidents in the Gulf of Aden since last Wednesday to at least four, the International Maritime Bureau has confirmed.
The first vessel to be captured, as reported has been named as the 1997-built, 8,742 dwt Nipaya , a Panamanian-registered chemtanker carrying a crew of 19.
According to Lloyd's MIU data, it is operated by Lotus Shipping of Athens....
