Third ship fails safe testing

Another ship carrying ammonium nitrate was detained in Newcastle after maritime authorities declared her unsafe.

Singapore-flagged Achilles was detained on March 24 after the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) discovered that the vessel had faults with her pollution equipment and watertight integrity, an AMSA spokeswoman said.
