Wine exports rise but value decreases

Australia exported more wine in the 12 months to June but the total value of the overseas-bound products declined, government statistics have shown.

Figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed that bulk exports rose 5.3% to 752.5m litres in the year to June but the value fell 7.5% to $2.5bn.

A rise in the Australian dollar against the currencies of trading partners...
