Tasmania sees positives in Toll/ANL merger

Despite a certain uneasiness amongst shippers about how Toll's takeover of ANL's Bass Strait services will play out, the Tasmanian Government sees only positives from yesterday's announcement.

Despite the Tasmanian Ports Corporation being left in the dark on the deal, a spokeswoman for state infrastructure minister Graeme Sturges said the minister had been informed of the decision before it was made public.
