Better signs ahead for Australian beef producers

The worst may be over for the Australian beef industry with signs pointing to an increase in demand for beef exports.

The global economic and financial downturn "severely" dented beef demand in the first half of 2009 more than anticipated but it appeared that the market may recover later this year, Meat & Livestock Australia said in its Cattle Industry Projections...
