Queensland port security questioned after protests
The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) has questioned the effectiveness of security measures at the state's ports in the wake of protests which closed two major coal export facilities earlier this month.

QRC chief executive Michael Roche believes the August 4 protest at Abbot Point and a separate blockade the next day at Hay Point Coal Terminal highlighted flaws in the security measures implemented by Queensland's ports.
