Activists storm Dublin port to support strikers
A seven-week strike by workers at Dublin's Marine Terminals worsened yesterday when 300 activists breached security and briefly occupied the site as a show of solidarity.
The atmosphere at the container terminal became heated, with the crowd chanting “scabs out”, in reference to the controversial decision by the Peel Ports subsidiary to bring in replacement employees from elsewhere, including its Northern Ireland and mainland UK operations.
