Energy groups strike more gas off WA

US oil major Chevron and Dutch group Shell have struck more natural gas reserves off Western Australia, providing potential to develop additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects.

The two discoveries are located in the Carnarvon Basin and close to other gasfields which Chevron plans to develop as part of the Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects.
