Hapag-Lloyd to vote on state aid

THE SUPERVISORY board of Hapag-Lloyd was to decide this week whether to apply for government aid for the ailing container line.
A source close to the company said the board was likely to authorise the management of Hapag-Lloyd to instruct banks to apply for government guarantees.
The government will then assume a major part of the credit risk of loans...
