Smit scotches Boskalis bid talk as profits rise
SMIT has confirmed it has not received a further approach from former suitor Royal Boskalis Westminster, as it reported a solid first-half result.
The Rotterdam-based salvage, towage and heavylift company’s chief executive Ben Vree said Smit was not in talks with Boskalis either about a full takeover or about selling individual segments of the business.
