Hutchison is upbeat despite lower result
THE GLOBAL recession has started to ease but a global recovery is not yet a certainty, according to Hong Kong ports giant Hutchison Whampoa chairman Li Ka-shing.
The conglomerate’s ports division, Hutchison Port Holdings, revealed last week just how badly it had been hit by the downturn in the global economy after announcing a 35% drop in net profits.
