Liberian register offers anti-piracy training
THE Liberian register has introduced a computer-based package designed to train seafarers and company security officers in anti-piracy techniques, writes David Osler .
The adoption of the Best Management Practice course follows a meeting in New York earlier this year of the United Nations Contact Group on Somalian Piracy, at which the Liberian government signed the New York Declaration on piracy.
