Petronet sources Australian LNG
PETRONET LNG has become the first Indian customer to buy Australian liquefied natural gas under a long-term deal, and is also keen to import the fuel from a project in Papua New Guinea.
ExxonMobil is selling 1.5m tonnes of LNG a year from the Gorgon project offshore Western Australia under a sale-and-purchase agreement which follows an initial pact between the two parties in May.
