Sinotrans to rejuvenate fleet

SINOTRANS Shipping, one of China’s largest shipping companies, is set to almost double the size of its fleet from 1.7m dwt to 3.1m dwt by 2011.
Chairman Zhao Huxiang said ship prices have dropped by up to 60% compared with the peak last year, which provided a good opportunity for fleet expansion.
The company aimed to maintain “a young and modern fleet,” he said.
