Greek shipping slump

GREECE’s economic earnings from the shipping industry continued to shrink in June and slumped by more than 28% in the first half of the year.

The Bank of Greece reported that gross transport receipts, dominated by shipping, fell 28.4% during the six months by a net €1.5bn (US$2.1bn).
