Overcapacity fuels further rate fears

NEVER before have liner shipping companies earned so little from transporting containers around the world.
Freight rates plunged to record lows in the early part of 2009, with any recovery back to breakeven or profitable levels likely to be a long haul unless the orderbook is trimmed.
Although carriers like to blame the plunge...
