Rio wary of recovery despite record sales

THE WORLD’S second-largest iron ore producer posted record shipment levels during the second-quarter but remained uncertain about the underlying strength and durability of any global economic recovery.

Rio Tinto shipped 52.5m tonnes from its Western Australian iron ore mines, despite acrimonious pricing talks with its largest Chinese customers.
The volume is up by a third on the first quarter and 14% higher than the same period last...
