Somalia attacks pick up as monsoon ends

THE FIRST signs of resurgence in pirate activity off the east coast of Somalia are being seen as the monsoon season draws to a close, warns the International Maritime Bureau.

IMB director Potengal Mukundan said he expected to see the number of attacks off the east coast of Somalia pick up after a three-month lull.
