Townsville tar for roads roll out
BP AUSTRALIA could send up to 12 shipments of bitumen a year to Townsville to service its new bitumen import, manufacturing and distribution facility there, a spokesman said this week.
The new facility will be capable of supplying 120,000 tonnes of bitumen each year – enough for the development and maintenance of nearly 4,000 km of road.
This would represent a 240% increase in BP’s current bitumen supply capability...
