Ceremony marks start of $43bn Gorgon project

Chevron Australia and its joint-venture partners, Exxon Mobil and Shell, marked the start of construction of their $43bn Gorgon natural gas project at a ceremony attended by Western Australia’s premier Colin Barnett.

  

The event took place near the site reserved for the three liquefied natural gas trains, domestic-gas plant, LNG loading facility and CO2-injection plant on Barrow Island, Chevron Australia said.
