Hext resigns as Pacific Basin Shipping chief

Richard Hext, chief executive of Hong Kong-listed bulk carrier operator Pacific Basin Shipping, will resign at the end of this month to take over as deputy chairman of the shipping interests of the Vanderperre family.

This follows the death in September of Charles Vanderperre, who owned Hong Kong’s Univan Ship Management and privately-held tanker company Vanship Holdings.
