China urged to expand shipbuilding capacity
China was well positioned to step up production and overtake South Korea as the world’s largest shipbuilding nation at a time when its closest competitor struggled to fend off demands for order cancellations.

That was the view of Graham Porter, one of the founders of containership owner Seaspan, who believed Chinese shipyards would press ahead with their global ambitions, despite pressure from some quarters to show restraint.
