The Bureau of Meteorology continues to monitor a 130 sq km iceberg floating about 920 nautical miles off the southwestern coast of Australia.
Authorities have warned ships in the area of the hazard and the likelihood that the ice will break into hundreds of smaller pieces as it moves into warmer water.
The iceberg is one of several to have split from two of the Antarctic's major shelves — the Ross Sea Ice Shelf and the Ronne Ice Shelf — back in 2000.
A separate warning was issued last month for icebergs of up to 2km in length spotted south of New Zealand.
These icebergs have since floated further east.
