K Line locks in charter deals with Rio Tinto
Japan's Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha has signed its first ever long-term charter agreements with mining giant Rio Tinto in two deals which brokers said could be worth around US$186m for the combined life of the charters.
K Line coal and iron ore carrier group general manager Atsuo Asano confirmed that the first agreement covered a five-year charter using one capesize bulker.
