Europe votes to ease customs restrictions
EUROPEAN Union member states have voted to ease customs restrictions for ships sailing within the EU but have stopped short of establishing the hoped-for internal market.
National governments agreed to a new definition of the term “authorised regular shipping service”, which will enable companies operating between member states to do away with a number of administrative burdens.
