MOL to reduce exposure to containers
JAPANESE shipping conglomerate Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) will focus more on owning tankers and gas carriers in reaction to this year’s slump in demand for containerships.
The operator of the world’s largest merchant fleet plans to reduce its exposure to shipping cargo boxes because of an expected glut in containerships next year, senior managing executive officer Koichi Muto said.
