CROSSING OVER - Concerns as QR looks to privatised future

THE PROPOSED privatisation of QR could compound losses being made by Queensland’s grain industry, the state’s rural lobby, AgForce, said this week.

AgForce said it feared grain logistics would be sidelined because Queensland’s coal industry would be more lucrative to QR’s new owners.
“GrainCorp has signed a three-year ‘take or pay’ deal with QR, but growers are concerned about what will happen...
