Sea Shepherd protest vessel Steve Irwin is returning to Australia after further clashes with the Japanese whaling fleet on the high seas.
A collision occurred in the Ross Sea last week (picture) while the Steve Irwin attempted to block the transfer of whales from Japanese harpoon vessels Yushin Maru No. 2 and No.3 to the Nasshin Maru , Sea Shepherd said.
