A French nuclear submarine, Le Triomphant , was damaged in a collision with a British submarine earlier this month.
The French navy maintained that the unidentified underwater object was probably a container later clarifying it by saying it was doubtless a container.
It later emerged that she had actually collided with another submarine, the British navy's HMS Vanguard ,...
