Turks send warship to serve in Somalia

Turkey plans to initially deploy one warship as part of international efforts to prevent pirate attacks on commercial ships off the Somali coast.

Pending parliamentary approval, Turkey will send one ship to the Gulf of Aden and Somali coast region as part of a United Nations-led force, Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said.
