Kembla nuclear waste query
Port Kembla in the New South Wales Illawarra region could be the latest export destination for Australia's nuclear waste, according to Greens state MP Lee Rhiannon.
Ms Rhiannon told the Illawarra Mercury that Port Kembla would be used for the upcoming export of spent nuclear fuel rods from the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation's (ANSTO) reactor in Lucas Heights.
