Pilbara rail still closed

Rio Tinto said on Tuesday that partial rail services at its Pilbara iron ore operations in Western Australia would resume on Saturday following recent heavy rains and flooding.

While the weather and surface conditions had improved, the after effects of the flooding continued to adversely impact operations.

However, the miner said recovery and remediation works were continuing.

The conditions had also impeded shipping movements at Dampier and Cape...
