Floating LNG projects lure the big players
Almost US$27bn will be spent on floating liquefied natural gas projects during the next seven years, as offshore solutions increasingly gain favour at the expense of onshore developments.
This is one of the conclusions of a new report by energy analyst Douglas-Westwood, which predicts that annual spending on floating regasification and liquefaction units will jump from $695m this year to $8.5bn in 2015.
