Logistics seen as only solution for Newcastle

A bulk transport specialist has called for the construction of 10,000 tonne capacity bins, which would handle surge capacity at coal receiving points along the Hunter coal chain.

These bins could handle trains when they arrived at the port of Newcastle, in order or out of order, Mountain Industries chief executive Mike Almond said last week.
