No change for 100% US box screen

US president-elect Barack Obama is considered highly unlikely to change import legislation that is set to affect all of the country's container imports, Lloyd's List reports.

The World Customs Organisation (WCO) heard last Friday that Mr Obama had no plans to repeal the 100% box scanning legislation.

Critics warn 100% scanning will be more costly and will not improve US security.

But the newly-elected Democrat president...
