O'Donnell Griffin signals $97m BHP Billiton deal

O'Donnell Griffin Rail, a division of listed provider of engineering services Norfolk, has won a $96.5m contract to upgrade rail signalling for BHP Billiton Iron Ore's Rapid Growth Project 5 (RGP5) in Western Australia's Pilbara region.

O'Donnell Griffin Rail will overhaul the current rail signalling installation, which is geared at improving transit time from the mine to port.

The project began in June and was expected to take about 18 months to complete.
