BHP Billiton sells off Queensland nickel refinery
Global miner BHP Billiton has agreed to sell its Yabulu nickel refinery in Queensland to companies owned by Professor Clive Palmer, one of Australia's richest men.
BHP Billiton would not disclose the full terms of the agreement but revealed that after the sale, access to funds and working capital would be sufficient to enable the company to operate as a going concern under Mr Palmer's ownership.
