MOL boxship fire under control
Hong Kong firefighters tackling a fire onboard the 6350 teu boxship MOL Prosperity will come closer to extinguishing the blaze today when containers are removed by stevedores five days after the blaze broke out.
The ship had departed Hong Kong and was about 38 nautical miles south of the territory bound for Singapore when the fire started.
MOL Prosperity is deployed on the New World Alliance’s Japan-Asia-Mediterranean service.
