Evergreen to cull older ships in capacity trim

Evergreen Marine, Taiwan’s largest liner company, has confirmed it will either scrap or redeliver to owners 31 containerships up to 26 years old over the next four years.

Evergreen spokeswoman Katherine Ko told Lloyd’s List she was unable to give a breakdown of how many ships would be sold for scrap or the number returned to their owners, although they would all be 2922 teu G-class ships and larger...
