Adelaide berth expansion wins green award

by David Palmer - Earthmover & Civil Contractor last modified Jul 10, 2009 12:06 PM

The project to extend Adelaide's container berth seven has won a South Australian Civil Contractors Federation Earth Award.

The project was undertaken on behalf of Flinders Ports by York Civil and designed by Connell Wagner.

The project won the category three award for projects valued between $20m and $75m and involved the construction of a new wharf facility at Adelaide's Outer Harbour.

The South Australian awards, held in conjunction with major sponsor Hitachi Construction Equipment, are the third in a series of state-based awards which will culminate in national awards in Perth in October.
